Walk in patients welcome. No appointment necessary for most Basic Services.
Superteeth® accepts cash and credit cards for payment. Most dental insurance plans are also accepted. Payment is required prior to rendering any service. All fees are discussed with the patient in advance so that each patient is aware of the total amount owed for any service including any insurance co-pay or deductible. If someone other than the patient will be responsible for any fees charged during a visit, we request that those arrangements are made prior to being seated to ensure that all of our patients can be treated in the most timely and efficient manner.
The fee for any extraction is dependent on the difficulty of that extraction. There are varying degrees of difficulty for extractions primarily based on the condition and the position of the tooth in question.
In most cases, the extraction of a tooth that is visibly and physically loose or mobile, i.e. the tooth (teeth) can be moved up/down or side to side upon touch by the patient or the dentist is considered to be a “Simple Extraction”. The fee for a “Simple Extraction” is $125 and includes an exam from a Superteeth® dentist and any necessary x-rays.
In most cases, the extraction of a tooth that is impacted or broken in any way is considered to be a “Surgical Extraction”. The fee for a “Surgical Extraction” ranges from $225 up to $275 based on the difficulty of the procedure and includes an exam from a Superteeth® dentist and any necessary x-rays. The condition of the tooth as well as the position of the tooth and its roots are factors in determining the difficulty of any extraction.
There is always a possibility that any given tooth may involve complications that would require a Superteeth® dentist to refer a patient to an oral surgeon for an extraction. If this is the case, Superteeth® charges a fee of $55 for the exam and x-rays and will provide a written referral to one of many local oral surgeons’ offices. These offices are not affiliated with Superteeth® and we are unable to quote any fees for services that may be rendered by an oral surgeon.
Only a dentist can determine if an extraction will be “Simple” or “Surgical” and patients are informed prior to any service being rendered.
Superteeth® offers a menu of Basic Services that start at $99 and include an exam from a Superteeth® dentist and any necessary x-rays. The $99 fee is limited to just those services listed as $99 on the menu of Basic Services. The fee for large fillings (3 or more surfaces) is $187 and the fee for surgical extractions range from $225 up to $275. In addition to the Basic Services, Superteeth® also provides a full range of general dentistry procedures. An examination by a Superteeth® dentist is necessary to determine the fees for these services.
No, Superteeth® does not currently participate with Medicaid or Great Lakes Insurance plans.
Superteeth® does accept most types of dental insurance. Provided that your insurance company has not assigned you a specific dental office that you must use in order to receive benefits, then Superteeth most likely will accept your dental insurance. As there are many different dental insurance plans available we must contact your insurance company in order to determine your coverage levels and provide specific information about co-pays and out-of-pocket expenses. Please be prepared to provide contact information and member identification for your insurance plan if you would like Superteeth® to process your dental insurance claim form on your behalf. All co-pays, deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses are due on the date of service.
All services must be paid in full at the time the services are rendered. Superteeth® does participate with Care Credit. Care Credit is an independent company that offers healthcare financing options to consumers. Patients can apply for Care Credit by calling their toll free number (800-677-0718) or apply online through their website (http://www.carecredit.com/apply/).
Yes. In addition to the Basic Services offered on a walk in basis, Superteeth also provides a full range of general dentistry procedures all at affordable prices. An examination by a Superteeth® dentist is necessary to determine which service best meets your needs and to offer accurate fee estimates for these services. These are not $99 Basic Services. Due to the fact that these procedures tend to be more time consuming to complete, an appointment may be necessary. Please feel free to call us with any questions regarding your oral health and how we may be of service.
If you are a patient that is taking blood thinners (Coumadin and /or Plavix) and are certain that you want or need a dental extraction, it is helpful to have your physician provide instructions in writing as to how we are to manage your medication. Some physicians will recommend that you discontinue your medication for up to five days before you have dental surgery. In some cases, your physician will advise us that taking you off your blood thinner medication is too risky for your health. In either case, we need to be informed as to what your physician recommends. Having this information in advance could save time by preventing a situation that would require us to contact your physician to obtain approval for any procedures on the day of service.
If you are pregnant (or suspect you are pregnant), we REQUIRE that you provide a statement in writing from your physician indicating that you can safely undergo dental treatment prior to any service being rendered. Please bring the statement with your physician’s recommendation with you on the day you plan to have dental treatment. You can also request that your physician fax or email their recommendation directly to Superteeth. Our fax number is (586) 759-0044 and our email address is superteethdental@gmail.com.
Your physician may require that you take antibiotics prior to any dental treatment. To avoid any delays, we require that you provide a statement in writing from your physician indicating if antibiotics are necessary. Please bring the statement with your physician’s recommendation with you on the day you plan to have dental treatment. You can also request that your physician fax or email their recommendation directly to Superteeth. Our fax number is (586) 759-0044 and our email address is superteethdental@gmail.com.
In 2008, the American Heart Association updated its recommendations for the use of preventive antibiotics before certain dental procedures, including teeth cleaning and extractions, for people with specific heart problems.
The use of preventative antibiotics prior to certain dental procedures is recommended for patients with the following conditions:
Check with your cardiologist if you're not sure whether you fall into one of these categories.
People who may have taken prophylactic antibiotics before the new recommendations were issued, but no longer need them include those with:
